It was not physical bread and water that Jesus was trying to teach about. He wanted the followers to understand the need for spiritual bread and water. It was Jesus who would fulfill that need to those who came to him.

Ask and it will be given. Seek and ye shall find!

Lord, may our hearts humbly bow before you, in persistent prayer. May we be alert, to the needs of others, so we might lift them up. Reveal yourself to us, through answered prayer, even though it may not be, what we wanted the outcome to be. May we always remember, that you care about us and love hearing our petitions.

Jesus gives life and sustains us, just as bread and water. The difference, is bread and water is temporary, but what Jesus gives, is for all of eternity. Thank you Jesus! May many come to know you this Easter season, as we celebrate your gift of life!
