Help us to see clearly, Lord, that we may ask according to your will. Seek ye first, the Kingdom of God, and ALL these things will be added unto you.

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Father, I we are not capable of doing this on our own. We surrender, our bitterness to you. Take it from us, and help us to keep our eyes on the example you have set for us. May we be like Jesus, who was hated by many, including us. May those who hate, have their eyes opened, just as ours were. Give us the eyes of Jesus to see clearly.

But the things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
